The Urban Design Studio, facilitated by Dr. Binita Mahato, collaborated with LaFayette Main Street to work on their Main Street Redevelopment Plan during the Spring 2024 semester. Students visited the main street and had a charrette with city officials, residents, business owners, and LaFayette Main Street Board Members to understand the needs and wants of the community for the redevelopment project. The students presented their final proposals to the community in an open house, which was attended by city officials, residents, business owners, as well as faculty from Auburn University. The studio work will be published as a booklet.
